For example, if you find yourself coming home from work feeling stressed, and immediately head to the kitchen to eat, try this instead; rather than eating straightaway, first spend half an hour doing some simple relaxation exercises or even taking a relaxing bath.
Only then, if you still feel like it, have something to eat. You will find that you will start to break the pattern of eating as a direct response to stress. You will be eating because you want to, and you might find that you start to make healthier choices.
