It is difficult to achieve something if you don't believe you have the ability to do it. Use the power of your imagination to practice how it will be to have achieved your goals and reached your ideal weight - this is called creative visualisation. Imagine yourself at your perfect weight; you're doing whatever you usually do, like going to work, walking the dog or getting on the bus. Imagine not only how you will look and what you will be doing, but also how you feel and how others respond to you.
Creative visualisation can be a powerful and positive tool if you practice it and use it often. A good time to do it is just as you are falling asleep, as your mind starts to work differently and is very receptive to thinking about and resolving ideas. Literally, "sleep on it"!
Before starting any weight loss or exercise plan you must consult a medical professional.
