The Little Online Book of Weight Loss

Goal setting - what are your personal weight goals?

To recap briefly, it is vital to focus on what you want, rather than what you don't want. What happens if you say to yourself "I want to not be overweight"? More likely than not, your brain will start to think about being overweight.

Perhaps this would be a good time to write down a list of goals. Remember, don't just write down something vague like ‘lose some weight'. Your goals should be specific and positive, for example, to fit into a certain clothes size, have more energy, be able to run a mile, have people compliment you on your appearance. Instead of saying "I want to be thin!", "I want to lose weight!", how about goals such as ‘I want to feel great!', ‘I want to be at my perfect weight!

Very Important

Before starting any weight loss or exercise plan you must consult a medical professional.
