Golf Driving Tips - Don't try and hit the ball too hard

This is one of the most common “mental” errors when driving. Our minds are programmed to believe certain things, such as the more force that is applied to an object the further it travels. This may be true in a strictly scientific sense, but don't forget two other important variables involved in a golf swing.

The club - Each club is cleverly designed to send the ball a certain distance. If you want the ball to go a further or shorter distance then select the appropriate club and trust it to do its job.

The human body - Simply hitting the ball as hard as you can results in a tense and inefficient physical swing. You can end up achieving the opposite of what you wanted and land the ball way short. A relaxed swing and a relaxed attitude will achieve more accuracy and generally more distance.
