Those expensive clubs you just bought have groves on them don't they? That's right just where they make contact with the ball, and of course they are there for a reason. Now if you allow those groves to become clogged with dirt or grit then those golf clubs cease to function. You may as well just add 6 or 7 shots to your total before you even start the round.
