Find a Hypnotherapist

How can you find a hypnotherapist who provides a reputable and professional service? There are dozens of different combinations of letters, names and organisations, some of which consist simply of members drawn from a particular training school.

In the UK, a recognised qualification has never been needed to practice as a hypnotherapist. Our best advice is to look for a therapist who has completed an acceptable level of training with a recognised training school and signed up to a strict code of ethics. Also make sure that you feel comfortable with your hypnotherapist and that they clearly understand your needs. Hypnosis remains unregulated in the UK, and many feel this is an unsatisfactory situation not only for the general public but also for therapists who wish to be officially recognised.
