It can be hard at first to eat more slowly and wait until you're sure you're still hungry before eating more food. But you really will be doing yourself a big favour, and like any new habit, will get easier once you have got used to it. And remember - if you are still genuinely hungry after half an hour, you can have something else to eat!
If you find the idea of waiting half an hour to see if you're still hungry too difficult, then go and brush your teeth straight after eating. If you still want food then, have some. You are still not depriving yourself of anything. You can have what you want.
