You might wonder why you need to learn how to relax. Surely lying in front of the TV with a pizza and a glass of wine is relaxation? Certainly, this might feel like relaxation, and there is a place for winding down like this occasionally. However, if you find you are doing this regularly, you may have an underlying source of stress, and you are not truly relaxing - merely temporarily escaping from your stress. This type of "relaxation" isn't necessarily very healthy either!
True relaxation takes a bit of time and effort to learn, and takes practice to perfect, but once you're used to it, you will find it does just happen. All the information is out there, it's free and achievable - and the rewards are immeasurable.
