Stress isn't always caused by unpleasant things such as arguments or heavy workloads. Pressure can also build up around important but fun events such as the annual family holiday. People often worry about what to take, organising the children or paying for the holiday, or they can be concerned about the journey, worried about flying, or just under pressure trying to finish off and handover all their work before they leave. Strange as it may seem, some people also become stressed because they have nothing else to think or worry about while on holiday. The idea of doing nothing can be stressful for some people.
There are other examples of this type of stress - Christmas, weddings, social occasions etc. Maybe you can think of some other examples yourself?
Stress is a medical condition and it can have a serious effect on your health. If you think you are suffering from stress it is crucial that you consult a medical professional.
